At Florida Poly we encourage students to pursue their highest potential for well being, so they may fulfill their academic, professional, and personal aspirations through a state of growth and self-empowerment. We believe that wellness is a way of life and involves achieving a balanced mind, body and spirit.
Florida Poly’s Wellness Center is located at the south end of campus directly across from the Admissions building. This one-stop wellness facility houses a dining hall – including a grill, Sub Connection and Starbucks – campus bookstore, fitness facility, mail and copy center, parking and transportation services, ID services and health clinic, which offers a variety of health care services, programs, and information resources to help students maintain optimal emotional and physical health. Services include general medical services, counseling services, and disability services.
In accordance with the Department of Justice’s Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Standards for Accessible Design, updates are made regularly to the Florida Polytechnic University website at www.floridapolytechnic.org to ensure that all information is accessible to people with disabilities. This is done through the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool (http://wave.webaim.org/), which is run on a monthly basis and notifies the university’s web development team of all missing items or things that need to be changed in order to meet ADA Compliance.
